About Us & What we do
The Catholic Women’s League was founded in 1906 by Margaret Fletcher.
The CWL encourages its members to work both in the parish and in the community.
Activities include:
- Helping with catechetics
- Parish work
- Visiting the sick
- Creche facilities at courts
- Ecumenism
- Retreats and Days of Recollection
- Study week-ends
- Social events
- Supporting other charities e.g. CAFOD, the Cardinal Hume Centre, Intercare etc.
Health and Social Concern
Social issues.
Our Lady's Catechists
A special Committee of CWL whose members are qualified to teach the F aith to adults and children through postal courses and face to face. Link here.
